Instructional Design Consultant
The Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing at NYU’s College of Nursing is looking for an Instructional Design Consultant for various projects. Duties will include: - Working with content experts and key stakeholders on shaping, entering and submitting content consistent with templates into powerpoint presentations, and elearning software and systems (i.e. Adobe Presenter, Moodle) - Assist with development of new e-learning modules and template The ideal applicant will combine an understanding of the science of elearning with an ability to put the available media, methods, and tools to work in the most effective, efficient manner possible. TASKS: Under the management of the institute director and project mangers, the instructional designer will participate in Hartford Institute discussion and planning related to: - research and strategizing; proposing initiatives and developing recommendations; marketing for dissemination of elearning products - conceptualizing and planning of elearning testing & evaluation QUALIFICATIONS - Must have excellent computer skills and experience with learning management systems such as Moodle. Must have experience with Adobe Flash, Powerpoint and Adobe Presenter and or Articulate Presenter; attention to detail, ability to work independently and effectively with a dynamic group; strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred with at least 3-5 years experience in the social science, education, or health related fields working in curriculum and instructional design and research.
