I've started a pilot project to prove the value of wikis to management.

We're using MediaWiki - same technology used for Wikipedia.
Many purposes:

Move online collaboration forward here
Slay some silos
Capture and build knowledge quickly (significant number of staff are retiring/leaving)
Speed the flow of information and unleash the power of collective intelligence
Empower employees to contribute and continue learning
