Most presentations are boring. Audiences of the past were satisfied with boring, dull presentations. Today’s audiences are demanding and sophisticated. They expect active engagement with relevant, cutting-edge, customized information, and they want to be entertained.

When information is offered in brain-friendly ways, attendees:
  • Transition to participants,
  • Increase their retention, and
  • Spread contagious enthusiasm.
Designing a presentation that aligns with how the brain naturally learns ensures success.

Jeff Hurt has worked in the nonprofit and hospitality arenas for more than 20 years in education and events. He also worked for state government for three years at the Railroad Commission of Texas. Jeff has presented to audiences ranging from 12 to 15,000 in size and has extensive work with e-learning and virtual presentation. Currently, he serves as the Director of Education and Engagement for Velvet Chainsaw Consulting (VCC). He blogs for VCC’s Midcourse Corrections about meetings, education, and social media.
