Central Texas Lectora User’s Group (CTLUG)

One agency’s approach at developing e-learning

Problem:  Various programs across the Texas Department of State Health Services, Health and Human Services Commission and the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services needed training developed for the web.  Training resources were limited.  Development of training fell to the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in many cases.

Solution:  Under the direction of the DSHS Prevention and Preparedness Division, a project was formed to build the necessary skills for SMEs and training staff to create an e-learning course (using Lectora) from concept to deployment through the TRAIN Texas LMS.

Come hear about the project and view some the courses developed with Lectora.  Meet the team members and hear about the good, bad and ugly of developing their courses using Lectora.

Presented by team members of the DSHS 2009-2010 CBT Development Team
