Mobile Learning: Effective training or just another technological distraction?

CorpU has an excellent article about mobile learning written by a Gen Y. Does her preference surprise you?

I agree with her.  She’s stating the necessity for the right tool for the job.  I’m heavily involved in technology and gadgets (heck I run the Gadgetguys.com site) but when doing serious production I use my computer with a full-size keyboard and dual monitors.   The Blackberry is used for timely information but it isn’t fun for production.

I did like her comment about being careful and not putting confidential data out on mobile learning.  Laptops, Blackberries and iPhones disappear at an alarming rate and most folks don’t consider the security implications until it’s too late.
